Afterwards, the man showers while the woman goes to get herself a drink. After his shower, he discovers "You're Next" written in blood on the sliding glass doors; behind them is the woman's dead body. He is then killed by an unknown assailant.

In the process of escaping the room to prevent being killed, another member is shot in the back with a bolt and passes out from the pain. The family members are unable to call for help, since their cell phone signals have all been jammed, but Erin sends a text to the police in hopes that they will receive it. Not knowing what else to do, the daughter of the group, Aimee (Amy Seimetz), attempts to leave. She is quickly killed after running into a trip wire, cutting her throat.Aubrey, upset from the death of her daughter, goes upstairs to her bedroom to grieve, but is murdered by an assailant under the bed. Hearing her scream, the family runs upstairs to find her corpse and on the wall, written in blood, are the words "You're Next". Staying in the room, Kelly (Margaret Laney) finds the killer still under the bed and runs to the neighbors' house, where she discovers the body of the man from the opening. She is then killed with an axe to the head.A policeman arrives and upon seeing Erin stab Crispian, shoots her in the shoulder. He calls for backup and goes into the house. However, he enters through the booby-trapped front door. Erin tries to warn the policeman in vain as the axe hurtles towards his face.
